Recapitulation

I know it's probably really wierd to write another blog in one day and within an hour or two of each other, but I also want to post pictures from the last year in college. So before I started the last blog, I was looking at other options for my class schedule for next fall. When I said I don't have very much time left of summer, I really mean it. I counted today in church, I have about 8 days left of work becuase we are going to Florida for a vacation for a week :) I'm way excited. I'll be sure to blog about it. But anyway, thinking about my schedule for Fall and how the next year might be, I got to thinking about last year. Last year was AMAZING! I loved it! So I went through my email becuase Bailey and Ariel have emailed me pictures, but me being technology retarded, I didn't really know what to do with them. I clicked 'view' and it came up SUPER huge but I could at least tell what it was, so i just thought, "Oh that was a fun time" or "I'll figure out how to view it smaller later". I didn't think to click 'download' becuase I thought, "I don't want to download it, I just want to save it on the computer." DUH!! Oh my heck, Blonde Moment! So basically, I was able to post the last one becuase I figured out how to get the pictures.
Well going through the pictures to save them on my computer made me think even MORE about how next year might be.
I'm just going to recap some of the great times I had down in Cedar.
First, VEGAS BABY!!
This is me and my roommate Melinda.
This was in the lobby of the Belagio. How cool is that?? Jack Sparrow and Micheal Jackson!I think this was in front of the restuarant of the Belagio, but I'm not sure. It was a super-fancy looking place away from the casino floor, so we all decided to try and look rich. It was so windy and cold outside, so we're all in hoodies and wind-blown, but it was fun :)
Another thing I loved was going to see Allred with Melinda. This was at the second show of his I went to. The first time I went to see him (I don't have pictures...) was pretty much my first real college moment. It was at a coffee shop and on a school night! I don't know what it was about it, but it was awesome! He was actually way nice when I asked for a picture with him! But how cool is that? I get a picture with a way hot and amazing singer??!?!!?Another sweet thing was the ugly sweater party! Here are some pics :)

Random trips to St. George :) Happy days ... :) Me, Bailey, and Ariel went to St. George quite often. On time, we went twice in one week.
We did some random things while we were there like touring Dixie campus and, my favorite, Popsicles on the lawn at the St. George Temple :) We mainly went down to shop and warm up.

So much more happened that made the year memorable, but I don't have pictures for all of them, and I think this blog is long enough... But Ariel, I'm really going to miss you next year... :(

Long past due

So I really haven't updated this in a LONG time, so I figured it was about time. For the past little while, I've thought "Oh I need to blog about that", but then I haven't ever gotten to it. My life has been crazy hectic, but I love it! So far this summer, (and I only have a couple weeks left)
1.) My best friend got married, which I already talked about. This is my other best friend :) We were both bridesmaids!

2.)I went to the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince with friends from work :) This is me and Sara right before it started. We were trying to make the same face we had when she told me it was on Tuesday instead of Thursday (which meant I could go) It was so exciting! That was my first midnight showing. -Totally amazing! Ya know, some people didn't really like the 6th movie, but for some reason i LOVED it. Maybe it was just becuase I saw it at midnight...

3.)I went to Fish Lake with Ariel and my family to visit Bailey. I don't have any pictures on that yet, but I hope some will be coming soon. My camera is currently smashed, so I've been relying on everyone taking them and emailing them to me later... That's why i didn't post any pictures before. It kinda sucks, but oh well. Anyway, Fish Lake was SOOO much fun! We stayed up late talking (the first night i was totally out after about an hour, but the next night I was wide awake and Bailey and Ariel were totally out...) We rented a pontoon boat and fished. Ariel was the first one to catch a fish, and I think it was her first real one. She even caught a second one, but it got away. We kept joking it was becuase of her name ;) So the reason of going to Fish Lake in the first place was because my family wanted a vacation and to visit Bailey. She works at the lodge there, and it's killing me that she's so far away and without cell phone service. I call her frequently and leave her very long messages though.

4.) I went to the Kenny Chesney concert! I went with my family, Megan, and Sam, from work, bought the other ones, so we sat with her and her friend and brother. (Wow, I have NO idea how to punctuate that... It's a good thing I have a grammar class this fall!) But here are some pictures from Meg :)

5.) Believe it or not, but after 2 summers of working at the pool, I finally got in for the first time on Thursday! That's my splash :)

I've done a TON more, but thats what I feel like documenting. The pictures are probably hard to see and a little fuzzy, but that's the best I can do. If anyone has some sort of secret to excellent pictures, please, feel free to share!

Doughnuts and weddings?? How can it get better??

First of all, I really should be at work, but I don't really feel like another 12 hour day. Especially since I'll be going in at 5:45 in the morning all next week and probably staying until close at 8! because this post is long overdue and I'm stalling before I go into work, I figure I'll post it and get ready then go in to work. :) I love working though! I'm doing data entry right now before I go to the pool because the pool isn't open full time until next week. Who would've thought that just by keeping your right arm at the level of the keyboard for 4 hours in a row it would hurt your upper arm in a wierd little spot... I like to think that maybe I'm holding an isometric contraction, so secretly I'm getting more muscle :)

I also just found this out, IT'S NATIONAL DOUGHNUT DAY!! It was on msn.com. And boy, it made me want a doughnut! I have no idea who came up with the idea to have a holiday just for doughnuts, but they were brilliant!!! Just yesterday, I was talking to one of my staff about the doughnut holes Kenzie and I would buy when we worked together. I even said they were pretty much one of the greatest inventions ever! I love doughnuts! Anyway, that's all I'll say about it.

My best friend got married exactly one week ago. It was so exciting! I'm just going to take a minute to tell you all about it. I threw her a bridal shower 4 weeks ago. We were sitting there and she said, "Brea, can you believe I'm getting married in 3 weeks??" At the time, it seemed like we still had a lot of time. Oh no, I was wrong... Those 3 weeks FLEW by, and before I knew it, I was at the temple watching her walk out a married woman. It really was a lot to think about. She looked so beautiful and happy, and Matt even looked pretty good ;) While we were waiting for them to come out, about 3 or 4 other brides came and went. So many people are getting married! And even though I want to be married one day, it made me realize that I am perfectly happy and content with where I am in my life. I watched all of the brides as they came out all shining with happiness. They hugged everyone there, posed for beautiful pictures and looked spectacular. You could see they are women of God. As I was watching them, I couldn't help but think that I don't want that yet. It might be because I haven't found Mr. Right, but I tried so hard to picture myself where they were and it just wouldn't happen. (I went with Megan by the way) I told her that I couldn't picture myself getting married anytime in the near future. "Really?? I totally can! I can't wait to get married!" was her response. Don't get me wrong, I want to get married and I can't wait for that chapter of my life, but right now I'm only in the middle of the previous one. Who knows how long my chapters will be, but in this chapter, I have so much more to cover. I'm not going to bore you with all the details becuase it obviously would spoil the book :) and plus, I'm not even sure where the details will take me.
Anyway, enough about me, I want to talk about Kenzie. Her reception was wonderful. They had Leatherby's Ice Cream cater-it was a hit. They had her sister and Matt's friend singing the whole time. I loved it! It was live music that was wonderful, and it was people I know!!! And I just have to say, they sounded great! Kenzie's colors were purple and green with a yellow accent. I wore a black skirt with a green fitted-T and a purple undershirt. It was surprising to see what her other bridesmaids did. She told us just to dress in her colors and some wore black dresses with colored undershirts or skirts and shirts like I did, but we were all so different. Elaine, her mom, looked wonderful too! I think everything worked out perfectly :) I love weddings! I can't even begin to describe everything else, but she had a big turn out and everyone had a great time. Definitely the definition of a great wedding! I can't wait to talk to Kenzie when she gets back from her honeymoon!

Last week :)

Matt Kearney
Mary, from work, asked me what I was doing last week. I had nothing planned so she invited me to meet Mat Kearney with her! She wins SOOO much stuff from the radio... It's not even funny. Last summer she won a trip to Denver and won tickets to the Second Hand Serenade concert. Well anyway, we went because it was free lunch :) I was kind of surprised becuase he didn't look anything like I thought he would, and he only sang 2 songs. but that's okay. It was still fun. After he sang, he took a picture with everyone there. Me and Mary both forgot a camera so we were just going to leave but the radio people said they would take pics with their camera and post it on line for us (and everyone else without a camera). Well, it has now been exactly a week and still no picture posted... Lame! But I'll be sure to post it as soon as I see it's up:) If you don't recognize the name (it's okay, I didn't at first) look up Nothing to Lose or Closer to Love on Youtube or something.

St George
My cousin Aaron just got married on Saturday in the St. George temple, so we got a little vacation! It was a blast. We left Friday afternoon and came back yesterday morning. We did a little shopping which was a disappointment becuase we didn't get anything. We were looking for a swimming suit because we forgot ours (who does that???) But it was okay. We didn't really have time to swim anyway. It was only between the luncheon and the reception. Anyway, we went to dinner after the reception with jaimie, Nick, Sawyer, Hollie, and Tyler. We ate outside and enjoyed each other's company. All in all, it was a really good weekend!
Congrats Aaron!!

The Start of Summer :)

So the semester ended so quickly. I've been home for a week now, but I've been super busy all week long... But no worries, I'm back. It finally is starting to feel like summer. I have a new hair cut and some new summer clothes :) So i'm reading for it to come! My hair was pretty long, but I donated it which was 9 inches -but about 10 because we cut more off when we were actually cutting a style.

This is right before we chopped it!

This is right after... (These pics are from my phone by the way)

Anyway, that's my hair story for you, but for those of you who don't know, I am managing the outdoor pool this summer. I'm working on the schedules right now. I'm so excited to run everything! It's going to be crazy, especially at first, but I think it'll be way fun! I get to handle the bookkeeping, training/hiring, scheduling, and keeping up on concessions- Pretty much everything except the actual pool part :) Which is totally okay with me becuase I don't really know how to swim! Haha

So earlier today, I went to a baseball game earlier and soaked up the sun. (but I wore a necklace with a big shell on it, yeah, not so smart. Now I have a circle on the middle of my chest where the sun couldn't burn.) The game was SO fun though! I went with Devin and his family (Thanks for inviting me!!) It was so intense. It was Kanab High School vs. San Juan High School and boy was it close. Kanab hit 3 home runs in a row! They totally stole the game back. It was a very good game!

Anyway, that's about all I can think of to say for now.

Blogging!

I've decided blogging is my newly discovered favorite past time. (For now) It started out as a 20 minute assignment for my computer class, but ended up taking hours. The actual assignment part was easy. The decorating is what is taking so long. I must say though, I love it! By the way, the assignment part is the youtube video. Ariel has been so kind as to show me how to work everything else though :) I still have a LOT to figure out and mess with, but it'll come. Anyway, and I wasn't quite sure what pictures to put on my title, but I figured sitting in the nice flashy cars was something you can't do everyday. So I seized the day!
Yep, That's all. For now at least :)

Entertainment Youtube

This is definitely quotable!
My roommates and I quote this all the time! Anytime muffins are mentioned we quote them all.
